What do we do?
We make learning practical, engaging, and accessible for home-educated students.
Online Classes
We run interactive online classes where students actively learn by doing, not just watching. Every session is practical, engaging, and easy to follow, giving learners the chance to ask questions, join discussions, and build real confidence through hands-on experience.
Flexible Learning
Our classes adapt to every learner with variable levels and personalized feedback on every task. Students progress at their own pace, get tailored guidance, and build skills confidently—making learning truly flexible and effective.
Extra Tasks
We provide extra tasks alongside our classes to boost engagement and encourage personal growth. These activities give students the chance to explore topics deeper, practice independently, and develop skills at their own pace.
Who are we?

Hi, I’m Kirin, Co-Director and Co-Founder of OpenClass H.E.
I was home-educated myself, so I understand the value of flexible and hands-on learning. Now a cybersecurity student, I’ve built up a wide range of experience in technology and education.
I’m a two-time national champion in WER Robotics and have represented the UK at two international competitions, including the World Finals in Shanghai.
Alongside robotics, I’ve taught STEM holiday camps and led workshops that get students learning by doing. I’ve also done work in careers education and public speaking, including running my own event and speaking at events to help young people see how the skills they develop today connect to opportunities in the future.
At OpenClass H.E, I combine this background to deliver classes that are practical, interactive, and inspiring — helping students not just learn, but build confidence and practical skills for wherever their future takes them.

I’m Amber, Co-Director and Founder of OpenClass H.E.
I grew up home educated, which gave me the freedom to explore my passions and build the foundations that have brought me to where I am today. That experience means I understand the unique needs of home-educated learners and have the knowledge to support them in exploring STEM subjects with confidence and creativity.
I have over five years of teaching experience, both in person and online, specialising in robotics and programming. As a robotics coach, I’ve guided learners to compete at multiple international competitions, including in Shanghai, and I’ve also served as a Chief Judge and Innovation Judge, helping to mentor and support young engineers from across the world.
I’m studying for a Master’s in Cybersecurity, keeping me connected to real-world technology challenges that I can share with my learners.
At OpenClass H.E, I’m passionate about ensuring that every course not only develops knowledge and skills but also builds confidence, creativity, and a love of learning.

My daughter had Maths tutoring with Kirin for 6 months before her GCSE. He was very flexible working with her to identify the gaps in her knowledge and then teaching those parts. We found him friendly and relaxed, he was always punctual and communicated well. My daughter went from worried, confused and uncertain to only dropping 16 marks across her 2 papers in the exam, I think that speaks volumes.

We are so grateful to Kirin for his calm, friendly and assured lessons. Kirin was brilliant at patiently explaining and simplifying more complex problems, and really helped my two home-ed teens gain the skills and confidence they needed to pass their maths GCSE. I honestly cannot recommend Kirin highly enough, and I will definitely be in touch again when my youngest is ready for maths GCSE!
